This article based on the letter of Joe O'Brien, who showed, that dealer can score 30 points (not 29 points as we stated before with Dealer hand 3,3,4,4 ; Pone hand 3,3,4,4 and not 26 points with a dealer's hand 4,4,4,7, pone's hand 4,8,10,K, and the jack as a starter). In Joe's example Dealer hand 7,7,4,4 ; Pone hand 7,7,4,4.
Both can have also 7,7,5,5 or 7,7,6,6 so there are three different versions that allow the same count.

Play goes like this:

Pone Dealer Pone Points Dealer Points Card count
17 27   2 for the pair 14
37 47 6 for three of a kind 13 (4 of a kind + 1 for a go) 28 go
54 64   2 for the pair 8
74 84 6 for three of a kind 13 (4 of a kind + 1 for last) 16 last
Red - succession of play

Dealer Points 2 for pair, 12 for 6 pairs, 1 for a go, 2 for pair, 12 for 6 pairs, 1 for last
Dealer Totals 2+12+1+2+12+1 = 30
Dealer pegs 30 in this scenario.
The same result can be achieved with the next card sets:
Dealer hand 7,7,5,5
Pone hand 7,7,5,5.
or
Dealer hand 7,7,6,6
Pone hand 7,7,6,6.
